Lightbulb EB Heads & Hooker Headers

Any issues with the Hooker Super Comps fitting the EB heads (440)?

Thanks!

Greg

Default Spark Plug Angles Hit Tubes

Hi gsmopar!

I was able to, on the bench, place a new set of Hooker SC on the Edelbrock aluminum heads. To me, it looks as though these 2 parts are NOT compatable!

The angled spark plug locations take aim right behind the tubes in a couple of spots. This would make getting the plugs in and out impossible. We were planning on taking the heads and headers to the muffler shop for some major "Adjustments" but opted instead to just get a set of TTI headers. No clearence issues with those.

I do have bench photos, but I don't think they actually show the problem (And the pics are on my home PC and I'm at work.) E-mail me if you want to see them!

I just called the EB and Summit tech lines. Both guys said that they'd fit. I'd still really appreciate your pictures so I can see what I'm getting into ahead of time.

Thanks!

Greg

Yes, the headers will fit. The question/problem is do you want to remove the headers everytime you replace the sparkplugs? Do you also like the header pipes being really close to the boots on your sparkplug wires? If you answer no to either of these, then go with the TTI headers.

The summit tech said I can return them so I'll mock them up before installation and see what I'm in for!

Thanks!
