Question Need help selecting an intake manifold.

I've currently got an Edelbrock Torker on my mostly street driven 340 that is producing between 350 to 375 horsepower. I want to change the manifold to one that is more suitable for street operation since that is where it will spend 99% of its time.
I am trying to decide between an Edelbrock Performer RPM, an Edelbrock RPM Air Gap, a Holley Street Dominator (I know, it's single plane), and if I can ever find one at a decent price (hint, hint), an Edelbrock LD340.
Hood clearance is an issue as I don't want to cut a hole in the hood.
Thanks.

One of my friends uses a RPM Airgap on his 340 71 Demon. He likes it. All street use.

We've got Mopar M1 single planes around this household. I'm not sure I see the problem here. I've used the LD340 and the torquer, I prefer the single planes myself. Of course we got big cams too.

I've been told by Edelbrock that the RPM is very close to LD340, take that for what it's worth.

I also have a old 340 torker on my hoped up 360! I wish to have a RPM air gap also! There will be power to be had there all across the board! The performer rpm is also a good piece. But if your buying a new one, for 30 extra bucks the air gap can be had! I have buddy that races alot and in the past few weeks he has tried 3 different intakes on his hopped up 440! A M1 single plan,torker 2, Performer RPM. The rpm was the quickestand the M1 was the slowest! He lost almost 2 tenths from the Torker 2. He now runs the performer RPM! Which in my book is the best Street/strip intake made period!

I could see that, but it also would depend on the combination, car weight, gear, convrter etc., etc. Of course in my case it doesn't much matter, there are only really 2 intakes for W5 heads.

For that horsepower level, I would deffinately go with a dual plane manifold. The RPM Air-Gap is the same as the RPM, just the different style manifold, but if you drive a lot in very cold to below freezing, then I wouldn't recommend a Air-Gap manifold since it will take so long to warm up.

As far as who's other manifolds to run besides Edelbrock's, I don't know since I don't have experience with them. Buying a new Holley, or Holley owned brand manifold seem kinda risky these days. Have seen some manifolds that had really bad casting quailty, one of which was published in a test by Mopar Muscle. I have also heard Holley had a major layoff, mostly of management, and is looking to sell off some of the aquired small portions it has bought lately to pay off debt that they owe.

340727Dart;

I run the airgap. Should you see temps below 60 or so degrees, the engine will need a little more warm up time. Seeing where you live, I do not think it a problem.
Airgap it.

Yup..the wake up call of Corporate America, they all tried to buy everybody out and now their finding out that the expertise came from the hands, minds and trust of the owners.

I wonder when we'll read about Holley's deceptive accounting practices?
