Default Big bolt 8 3/4 swap for Dart? Will Conquest 16x8 rims fit?

I have an 8 3/4 with the big bolt pattern that has been used in my 70' Dart with the springs moved inboard. However this car was in an accident and I purchased another Dart with an 8 3/4, however with the small bolt pattern. Can I just swap axles and brakes? Or is there more that I have to do. I suppose I could just weld on the plates for normal spring location. I can not afford to move the springs inboard yet. Also, I want to use Conquest 16x8 rims since I want to start autocrossing, anyone have the bolt spacing and/or backspacing? Thanks.

Axles and brakes are a direct swap. The conquest rims have about 5" of back spacing you better make sure theyll clear everything before you buy them...........PRO.....

Will the rims come close to bolting up? Meaning do they have a 4.5" or 114.3mm bolt pattern? Thanks PRO.

Wait a minute....

There are no stock A body (width) 8 3/4 rearends with the 4.5 bolt circle. Is this a B body rear in an A body? Or does it have custom axles in an A body case with B body brake hardware?

If this is a B body rear in the '70, the axles and brakes will not work, since they are about 2 inches longer on each side. This is probably what you have since you mentioned moving in the perches. A '70 A body rearend is a direct bolt in to all (most?) other A bodies, including the perches for years from like 1968 through 1976.

If the '70 8 3/4 has custom axles and is the same width as the small bolt pattern unit, it should be able to be moved over with no problems. The E brake and brakes lines go to the same places...
