VMP Chrysler Classic

Anyone going to Virginia Motorsports Park Oct. 12 & 13? I have been for the past two years and there has been a good turn out each year, didn't know if any one would be racing or showing.

Not many people from Northern VA will be there. Word of mouth is that the VMP is not that great. I have spoken with many people that have been to it and they all agree that they will never go again.

Do you mean the track isn't any good or the show in general?

Word of mouth is that the Chrysler Classic show isn't that great and that it isn't worth the drive from NoVA.

Ed, watch that word of mouth crap, if I would have listened to everyone else I would have missed out on alot in my life time. Face it, its a whole weekend with nothing but Mopars racing, showing and selling parts!! How bad could it really be? I have a friend that come from Canada every year and he doesn't have a problem with the distance. If you come, maybe you can start another word of mouth rumor that would be more positive. Hope you make it!

I agree with Darrel. Some Mopar meets are better than others. And, there are varying opinions about any specific meet. However, they are only as good as we make them. If we don't show up, they are going to go down the drain. And after we do that to enough of them, there won't be any such thing as a Mopar show, swap, and drag meet. Only in the pages of history.
So, I say, let's all go and have a blast!!!! Winter's on the way!!!

I think that I'll pass on it. These people that are saying it isn't worth it are the same people that fly or drive out to the spring fling in California and also make the trip to both Carlisle shows (Chryslers at Carlisle and the the Fall show at Carlisle). As the word of mouth is from several different people (some don't even know each other), I'll take their word for it.

The classic events are top notch! I've had a great time at six of their shows. Have not been to the VA show, but alot of people were making plans to be there at the spring Columbus show. Have a good time guys and let me know if I win the truck givaway!
