Question Intake Valley Cover

I have an Offy tunnel ram on my 440 and was wondering if anyone made a intake valley cover?

Thanks......

Just the valley pan. You don't need anything else down there.

Actually I wanted to ask the same question. I've seen a neat looking aluminum piece on a few cars with Indy & Stage VI Heads. Anyone know where to find this and will it work with stock or EB heads?

Later,

Greg

On some of the earlier big blocks there was a silver like material in a pillow type configuration on the bottom of the factory intakes. Or is this something else you are talking about.

It wouldn't take much to make something. It would just be a rectangualr piece of thich aluminum. It would just cover the valley pan and would only be held in by the bolts that the oil rails in place. You could probably use this to replace the oil rails, for a cleaner look.

Indy makes a cast aluminum unit for RB's, not sure about B's. I would just make one out of 1/8" aluminum plate, though.

Thumbs up vally cover

Should you decide to make your own.
Keep in mind that it is not a true rectangle.
That is to say the corners are not 90`s.
Also bevel the top edges on the long sides to prevent clerance
problems for the intake.
The best way to do this is to use the center of the valley pan
as a templet.
Hope it helps
Dirty Dan

P4876848 - RB Valley Tray $34.90 through Earnhardt's dodge in AZ

Now, what do you use for an intake gasket if you use this tray?

Thanks,

Greg

These guys kick butt! So if you're doing the mail order thing... I'd recommend them!
