360 Pistons
can someone tell me why you can't use magnum pistons in a LA block .I'm building a 408 stroker with a LA block but i'm using magnum heads i;m looking for around 91/2 10 to one compresion with the KB pistons over the counter i'm not sure what pistons to buy?

Im runnin KB #107's there ok I guess. The engine seems to have plany of power for a flat top engine. I can run about 34-36 deg total timing without detnation on 93 pump dyno droppings~LOL. Using the stock 360 heads with maybe .015 cut from them and the same for the block! I figure is will have 9.5:1- 10:1 at least.
BTW My engine is a 1976 Fury peice! |

I don't know why you can not use Magnum pistons in your engine other than your building a stroker so you need pistons to match the compression height for the stroker crank setup.

I beleive the rods are the issue. If I remember correctly the magnum rod is narrower on the piston end. To use la rods you need to grind them down a bit.
