Is it a 440 HP motor? Also are you sure it is a 1969 engine? Do you have any pics?

It does not ring a bell. The place that I am talking about is on the drivers front side of the engine. Right in front of the intake should be a flat retangle place about 2 1/2 inches long. You most likely have to clean this area very good to read it.

Default Location

The MOPAR raised block has a flat machined pad on top of the motor adjacent to the front o the valley pan area on the driver sdie of the block, this is where the MOPAR engine code stamps are located.

As an ex-Chrysler engineer (from 1964-1966) I was, and am yet, well aware of the correct location. Just old age and memory causes fogginess sometimes about the date codes and what years the letters go to, I have to look them up.(:-------.

Default No problem.

I wasn't offended in any way, I assumed that you thought I might ne someone who was unaware of how to find the numbers correctly. I would want to be sure also. No offense taken.

I just wanted to assure you I did.
