Question nos or not

i have a 75 dart with a stock 318 short block ,crane cam, 360 intake , 360 heads , headers , 8 3/4 with 4.10's . i have the 360 short block and plan on doing it up really nice . but im wondering how my current set up would respond to 125hp nitrous kit would i be able to make a few passes with a stock 318 short block on nitrous . I would biuld the 360 with forged pistons and all the nessasary upgrades for it to be able to handel the nos as well . The carb on the 318 is a rebiult carter thermoquad . i am looking for suggestions on what carb to eventually go with . somthing easy that requires minimal tuning.

As far as NOS goes, my basic opinion is "those that can - do, those that can't - use NOS".

For the carb, get yourself a Demon carb. Don (cuda66273) can set you up with a great carb. Give him all of the information about your desired setup and he will get you the perfect carb for it.

You would be amazed what effect a 125 shot will do for your 318.
A 125 shot is a good choice for your engine combo.
If installed and used correctly You should have no ill effects.
Their are many varyables to be considered when calculateing the effect on your performance.
However I have seen as much as 1/2 secound drop off the et
with a 150 shot .
LOL

A carb cannot be recommended until you complete the "Eventually go with" portion of your 360 buildup.

Unless you buy a carb then build the motor around it?...seems a little backwards but I guess it could be done that way?

For a street/strip or "Street Racer" you can't beat Nitrous. It gives you the ability to build a very mild combination (engine and gearing), but still be able to kick some butt. 125 shot is good for a stock small block.

Later,

Greg

thanks for the reply guys , In response to the comment about "those that can" I am simply looking for inexpensive power upgrades for my 318 block while I save up and work on the 360 block. i would like everything i do to the 318 to be able to bolt to the 360 . i dont think that nitrous is the be all end all . i just figuer there must be somthing to it if guys are getting more power out of there motor when they use it .

thanx again [the dialoge is aprieciated ]
