I have an '89 Voyager with a 2.5L and 3 speed auto trans (102,000 miles). The problem is upon moderate acceleration, the speedometer fluctuates before reaching the coasting speed...almost as if it is trying to catch up to speed. Any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks. Jeff

My guess is that you have a dry cable. (nothing personal) If you remove the instrument cluster you should gain access to the back of the speedometer. If you remove the cable from the back of it you should then be able to remove the inner cable and re lubricate it. The stuff i've heard works best is "Lubriplate"
P.S. You MAY be able to reach the back of the speedo from under the dash without removing the cluster. Maybe.
