Help Thermostat Sticking????

I have a 93 Intrepid with 170 k on it. For the past couple of days I have noticed it blowing COLD air with the heat on full blast and engine temp at normal. Then 5 minutes late I get warm air again???
Thermostat bad??? but if it was would my temp gauge read in the normal range??

Thanks

Your coolant might be low or an air lock can also do this.

I agree. I had a car do this and found the radiator was empty, the steam was heating the sending unit so the guage was reading fine but no heat then some than none...............one cracked head later it was fixed

Gripe

Had similiar symptom with leaking head gasket on a 92 Taurus. Is your temp guage staying steady or fluctuating some? Hope it's something simple for you. Blocked/restricted heat core?
