451 in a Diamante!
Here it is...a 451 "in" a Diamante...well in the trunk that is.
I picked up this motor out of our off site storage. It was in our old '64 and Im moving it to my '65 that is in my garage. I just dropped it in my trunk and drove home. The trunk even closed! I thought this photo would get a few chuckles. My buddy thought I was crazy when I showed up in my driver with a break down cherry picker in my back seat and a couple of burgers. |

Ahh, I was hoping you had it installed in the Diamante!
I did similar with my old 67 Belvedere 4 door work car, back when I rebuilt the engine in my 70 Roadrunner, many moons ago.. It looked like it was trying to pull a wheelie going down the road. Did your Diamante look like a lowrider? |

Yeah, it felt like I was driving a Chris Craft with the bow up. It handled it pretty good considering it must have weighed 500+ lbs.

Wow Steve, that is really cool. So I guess we all know now what's going in the Cuda, right?

How much faster was the Diamente after the installation??
I hope the burgers were double double In 'n Out sliders - the best burger on earth! |

I could almost lift the front tires...at a standstill! DD's Animal style! Yup. Finding the right Magnum manifolds was the determining factor. No more headers, but no more holes in my fenders either, and I can go over a speed bump.

I too thought that you actually installed it into a Diamante Kimmo |
