Default Transmission books?

Does anybody know where I get a good book on 904 & 727 transmissions?
I have a 727 sitting at my house and I figured while I was home this summer I would rebuild it and put a shift kit in it, but I want to get a good book to read first to make sure I dont get in over my head.

Thumbs up

The book I have is published by ATI, I believe. It is not any good for performance hop-ups, but it covers everything you will need to know for a stock rebuild. For the performance mods, get a Transgo shift kit--it comes with a great book on what to do, how to do it, and what is suitable for your application. I got my stuff from a company called Whatever It Takes in Nashville, TN--I am unaware of a website if they have one. Another good place is Delta--which I believe is in Texas! I believe the site is www.deltaautomotive.com.

P.S.--while you are at it definately pick up an aftermarket cooler (be sure and flush your lines), and a deep pan if you can afford it.
