Default It's Awesome!

Remember this one.....86 Dodge Pick-up for $1800.00???

I picked it up last night.....heheheee

She drives finer than she looks!

Took on the Sylvan hill on 26 in high gear 1/4 throttle at 65 never even new it was going up hill....Mrs. Cuda was following....or should I say trying to follow in the Fird...right to the floor in second gear and could'nt catch me...not even close...LOL

It runs so good I think I'll send the Old Widow a couple of hundred bucks extra.....nah.....bad thought....lol

As soon as the sun get's up over the trees and melts the frost off the windows I'll snap a few pics and post them here.....

Under closer inspection I found a small divit in the headlight bezel about the size of a dime and a small scratch on the tailgate about the size of a quarter...dam maybe I got ripped????......

...Oh ya and plastic bag is missing from the owners manual and the tires arn't new, they've got almost 500 miles on them...Maybe I should call her and try and get $100 bucks back....LOl

She felt bad that it only had 7/8 of a 30 gallon tank of gas in it so she through in the 5th wheel hitch, new cap, rotor, wires, plugs, locking tool box, new in box 1406 Eddy Carb, new snow chains and two extra wheels with new snow tires installed........

I just can't stop giggling....LOL

..anyone need a POS 93 Fird extended cab F150, 302 POS gutless V8 with a suspension that challages the capacity of a Chevy Sprint?

As my father, a lifelong mopar devotee himself would say, "Damn Fords wouldn't pull a clucking hen of it's nest!" sometimes the word clucking would get changed, but the rest of it was always the same. I bet the suspension on the '68 dart he had for years would do better than a Ford. It used to haul at least 5 of us kids (there are nine of us) and Mom and Dad around no problem with a trunk full of stuff too. I miss that car. Anyway, congrats on stealing that truck with a reciept.

On a quiet day, you can hear a FORD rusting in MOPAR country (or in this case, Don's yard).

Don't be so hard on the Phords! I am Mopar through and through, but I love my dad's '96 F-250. 7.5L, E4OD tranny, and a Dana 60 with a Powerlock out back. Outran a 318 auto Dakota with it....hold on, I think I hear an angry mob coming to get me!

Nothing wrong with ford. My daily driver, neglected and abused gets me there and back (and turns a few heads in the process) The chevy crowd however...

I know I should have more respect...after all 90% of Firds ever built are still on the road...the other 10% actually made it home...

Hey Cuda - after you stole that truck from the widow, did you foreclose the mortgage on any orphans?

Donito the Bandito.....LOL

Actually the Ford Dealer where she bought her new car from should be charged with Ederly Abuse...offered her $1200 for the truck...when her son negotiated the deal with all cash she was really only going to get about $200 for it.......so I'll sleep OK.

Today the Q-Junk goes and the Eddy 1406 goes on....I dialed in the secondary weights and put my drill to it yesterday so I'm ready to bolt it on, dial it and go smoke some F150's.

The Ford ran 17.60's last year so I'm guessing just by the seat Dyno the Dodge should pull off at least a low 16....after we get the manifold, heads and cam done I'm hoping to move that iron thru the traps in the low 15's....Mrs. Cuda will have some fun next year for sure....LOL

Ya Ya I know, you and all my Buddy's laughin' at me for putting the Eddy on it, I haven't decided which cam and what I'm going to do with the heads yet, so all this will determine which Demon I order for it...and I'm still waiting for my test Performer Manifold from Roger.....LOL

Mrs. Cuda has already claimed it as her Race Truck for next year....She gave it a twist yesterday YIKES!....I think I'd better freshin' the whole motor.....showed no mercy.....poor old truck, probably the first time it's ever seen WOT.

After I set the 1406 up and did the final adjustments on the engine it runs way harder than the Q-Junk Chebby carb and get this....the idle speed screw is at 1/16th of a turn.

It's a nice cold morning today so I can get out there and set the choke...it'll work until we get the real carb ..

I'm going to install new plugs and wires today and do some cruising and plug reading, then adjust the metering rods to get some MPG out of it....gotta sneak it through the DEQ sniffers next week.....

If anyones got a stock 360 that they need a good carb for, this one will be for sale soon....I've done all my little tricks internally and it will be set to run perfect on about any stock 360 at 500 to 1000' elevation.
