Hi All, I have a '87 Charger 2.2. Put
a new motor together for it last
spring. Stock rebuild with MP
computer. Ran great until recently,
4000 miles. Seemed to be running out
of fuel whenever a load was put on
it. Replaced fuel filter, no help.
Rebuilt carburetor and replaced fuel
pump, no help. Took off MP computer
and installed origional and now the
car is driveable, but stumbles on
mild acceleration. Stumbles when
coming off a a stop and on a slight
grade but will come alive at WOT. The
timing is correct, the EGR valve is
working, the vacuum lines I have
checked and checked again then
rechecked and are as far as I know
correct. What have I missed? Oxygen
sensor maybe?

You might want to check the timing belt and see if it jumped a tooth, you may not have tightened it properly when you did the rebuild. I had this happen to me with an 83 charger a few years ago.
Please let us nkow what you find.
Good Luck!

Question

Timing belt did not jump. Cam timing, intermediate shaft timing and ignition timing are correct.
