I'm guessing that you are reffering to the metal pin that aligns the shift arms when you adjust the stops. This piece is now made out of plastic and can still be obtained from Hurst.

Question

Bandit340, Have you adjusted the linkage properly? To do this put tranny in neutral, disconnect shifter linkages, put a 1/4" rod thru the shifter frame and arms, then adjust linkage rods to slide into arms perfectly then remove 1/4" rod. I have been doing it this way for years of drag racing. Good luck! AJ

Try a 1/4 inch drill bit to align the shifting rods, it worked great on my Pistol Grip 4-speed.
