Dashboard Back Lights

I own a 1990 Dodge Dynasty and yesterday the dashboard back light went out, The lights still go on and the radio still dims but the dash does not light up. I can't drive at night without leaving the dome light on. I have checked the fuse and don't know what else it could be. The my dealer will charge $60 just to look at it so any help would be appreciated.

Check your taillamps. I know the older Mopars are wired so that when you lose your taillamps, you dash lights go out too, just to let you know. I'm not sure if the new ones do that or not, but it's something to think about. It may be your taillamps and not really have anything to do with your dash. Hope this helps...

You may want to check the dimmer in the head lamp switch they can go open in the reostat and cause your lights to go out
