Default OK here go's

I had the cold fast-idle software loaded into my '99, and it now works correctly. Along with that, the Chrysler computer said that there was a new power improvement flash included with the cold weather idle goodie. All I can say, is WOW! Very nice improvement in acceleration from a stop, and seems like an overall improvement in the torque curve. No, I had no complaints before, but this is a darn good flash!
My new Jardine four inch exhaust also gets high marks. I have seen a 1.2 MPG increase since installing it, and it's quieter at highway speeds. Gotta love these trucks!

A bunch of my farming buddies run powerstrokes in their f250s and 350s. I'm impressed with the power they have but would really like to see what a cummins is capable of. Only one I have ridden in was a 3500 dump bed truck with a load of gravel. It huffed and it puffed but it got the job done. That was a lot of gravel too. What do these things get in the quarter stock (just outta curiosity)

How does a 2001.5 HO six speed 4X$ for $26,000 sound?
With gauges and a EZ box.

Default No one is home.....

93 Cummins,,
There are a few of us who still check in from time to time, but, not as much as we used to.Things here, due to circumstances beyond our control, have made or driven most of the diesel guys away.As I have said in another area here, its a shame that all the membership suffers due to a certain select few who did or continually cause problems.I,myself, still look in about twice a month, but, because of the stand they have taken here I do most of my posting on the TDR site and a few other boards........BRM

Default A few things to talk about

OK lets talk about a couple of things.

First does anyone elses VP44 sound different in the cold weather (noisier)?
Especially going from say 2000rpm to 2200rpm. You can hear a different tone change between those rpm's.

Also I have had the intermediate shaft replaced on the steering coloum this last summer because the steering wheel felt as if it was loose. It felt better after but when The family and I went down to Lake Powell pulling the fiver down to the lake (doing a little off roading) and going over some small rutts and bumps it felt really loose.

Now I know these trucks are known to have track bar issues so could that be what I'm feeling?

As a side note: This is my third CTD Dodge and my 96 also had the shaft replaced and that solved that problem.
