How about the first Gone in 60 Seconds. Wrecked red '73 challenger parted and gutted with numbers saved. Stolen '73 from paid parking lot. Swap vins 383egine and such saved from wreck. Sold to used car lot. Insurance agent see's tag number gal 000 and starts to look in on it. Car stolen from lot on Sunday morning with a wrecker. Rent a cop in '60 something 4 dr belvidere chases wrecker with Challenger in tow. Gets away afeter rent a cop wrecks. Challenger goes into shredder blades and comes out other side in little steel chips. Sad ! Lets all bow our heads at the death of another fine movie Mopar. R.I.P.

Its an interesting fact that most dont know but in the original Vanishing Point. Chrysler gave them 5 or 6 Challengers to use but in the end of the movie when Kowalski hits those bulldozers its actually a Camaro with a challenger front end on it!!!! My buddy and I watched it one night and he said " thats a shame they wrecked that Challenger" His frown turned upside down when I told him the news!!!! LOL!!!

Yeah, I knew that one from a long time ago. Bet you did not know that near the end of the Dukes of Hazzard shows they started using amc's during the jump and crash scenes along with some slick editing. I have some of the first tv shows where they were doing it in some little town and not in a sound stage lot. Now that looked more real than the latter ones. Some of them show the car with one headlight door open. During one jump you can see the duels with glass packs and duel shocks. The sound for the engines was always dubbed and so was the horn noise. The real cars never had a dixie horn on then. I have a copy of the reunion tv movie and you can see enough of the fan area to tell it's a small block car. All the stunt cars were 440's though.

He had that in two videos and yes it is nice. We had one of Allen Jacksons blue Super Birds at our club show last year. And you can find either his viper or prowler with trailer at one of the Jan. or Feb. shows at the fiargrounds in Nashville.
