I have an 89 Voyager with a 2.5L and auto trans. The computer is displaying fault code 34. Does this indicate a sensor problem or false code. It has been flat on acceleration in 2nd gear. I have to floor the accelerator to kick down to 1st gear for acceleration below 25 mph. Any suggestions on diagnosing. It has 100150 miles. Jeff

Code 34 is speed sensor but a bad speed sensor won't give you your problems. Have you tuned it lately? what do you have the timming at. My same as your van want 12 deg in it to run but it pinged alittle. so i pulled it back till it stopped makes alot more power then it did. good luck

I put new NGK plugs, new wires, cap and rotor at 95,000 miles. I advanced the timing to 15 and run 93 octane gasoline in it. A mechanic at Chrysler said that I may experience "midrange lull" by advancing the timing as well as an intermitant idle.
