well my wife ordered her 300M on the 11th of november. should be here in jan 2000. she ordered the performance group. some people said she will not like it. the ride will be too stiff. do any of you guys or gals know how this car will ride with the performance group?? we test drove the regular car and i feel it was too soft and the performance group would be perfect. this is a great car you can not even here the engine running when inside and there is plenty of power.
thanks

Excellent idea on ordering the performance group. You both will like it.We have 10 new 300M's in our rental fleet.7 have the perf.group and they ride better than the others. It's really a great car. What color did your wife order??

Sound like a nice Christmas present!! We just recived a Cinnamon glaze 300M today and it really looks sharp. In fact my manager and I are going to probably fight over it as he is driving a blue 300M and will want to trade out and get this one I'm sure.BTW,we have had ZERO problems with our fleet of 300M's.

We love our 300M with the performance suspension package, but it will definitely jar your teeth when crossing a railroad track. We've had zero problems with our M in 10,000 miles, and gas mileage is great for such a big car. Power is respectable, but really doesn't live up to the letter car tradition. My uncle bought a '57 300C in 1958, and it could only be described as awesome! I liked Mopars before that time, but his 300C made me a believer. It had a totally masculine personality, while the 300M is more gender neutral. The M is also much more refined and luxurious.

I've looked at the 300 and would like to purchase one. I'm gonna wait abit until the horse power goes up. Which it always will and they already have a R/D 300 horse, it will be a while before it hits the market, I'm sure, but when it does I'll hand over my cash with pleasure.

I have a Y2K 300M, Steel Blue with PHP/chrome wheels. Love the car; it rides just fine, not harsh, probably due to the 16" wheels. By the way, I don't mind an "aggressive" ride, so I wish I could find a set of chrome 17's from a non-PHP owner. Wish I would've fanagled a set of 17's from the dealer when I bought my car.

We've had our 300M for 18 months. We test drove both Euro suspension and standard. We opted for the standard. It's great for long distance drives and still corners better than our 95 Cirrus LXi!! Euro suspension is too taut for our needs.

Absolutely 12000 trouble free miles. Nothing, nada -- never back to the dealer except for my 4000 mile check. . .and then we got a free car wash/detail certificate!

Whatta car -- now if it only had a 392 hemi with dual quads and dual exhausts. Makes my eyeballs red jus' thinkin' about it. . .

Marshal's wife here. Can't wait till the 300M shows up looking forward to it after driving a midget car for 7 years that we needed a shoe horn to get into. Thanks everyone for your input. Greatly appreciated.

I went from a 91 Toyota MR2 Turbo to the 300M for family reasons. While I like the feel of a Sport Suspension the 300's was too harsh and seemed to cause alot of body noise on the test drive. I went with the standard suspension which for me was the better choice. Like others in the chat I've had no problems with the car although I just got mine in November.

Cool

i wanted the intrepid but she said after you add all the extras just a few more $$$ and we can get the 300m what could i say?? ya she owns the car but guess who pays!!! we changed the oil to get out the factory stuff and the fliter was sooo tight. they must have used two torque wrenches. anyway also put in a K&N. hard to drive my ram after riding in her 300m. if anyone in southern california wants a 300m i got (ops; she got hers) at McCune Chrysler in National City Ca from Judy Puma in fleet for $100.00 over the invoice 619-477-1101 if you go to www.kbb.com you can get the invoice and add 100.00 and thats your price, plus tax title and dmv fees of course, only took seven week to order but they have plenty on the lot. i still like my ram better, a real mans man truck!!!!!!oh ya she ordered a car cover than someone told me that some covers hurt the clear coat??? any one hear of this??

Question

My wife and I are getting ready to buy a 2000 300M, but we'd sure like to drive one for a couple of days, without a salesperson's distractions. We've tried Thrify and Dollar, with no success. The ditz at Enterprise didn't know what a Chrysler 300M was, so she was sure they didn't have one.

Does anyone know where we can find one? We live in the Oklahoma City area...Thanks, Fred

My wife called the fleet department at McCune Chrysler and made an appointment to see the people there. They let us drive a 300M all over town, with out a salesman! Maybe you could call your cloest Chrysler and try to do the same. Beware tho that if you go in without an appointment and a salesman comes up to you than you deal with the salesman. Call some car rental places from near by towns to see if they have a 300M this car is getting more and more popular every day so it's only a matter of time before every one has one to rent. You will positively like this car.
