i have an 87 2.2 turbo 5 spd shadow that just recieved the newer intake manifold a blow off valve and an intercooler. i also have a 90 non turbo 2.5 5 spd shadow its wrecked. first off can i put all the turbo stuff on the 2.5 and use it in the 87 it is in better shape than the 2.2 and it should make more power i think.swap time is no concern to me but hassle might be second.nitrous yes? no?what can the 2.2 or the 2.5 handle. my prime concern is picking off import guys. any help would be great.
p.s. cliff sebring if you see this help thanks.
p.p.s. this is supposed to be kinda a budget project but i can always putin more hours.thanx

the stuff will fit and work but the compression on the 2.5 would be too high. you could only run real low boost 5-7 psi if that on good gas. You would be wise to put 2.5 turbo pistons in it first. I would like the 90 trans and shifter too if it was my car. As for the NOS go for it but keep an eye on the A/F ratio/Exhaust gas temp. Usually under 1600 deg F is safe some people like to keep it under 1550 and that's with the probe in #3 exhaust runner.

Hi John
Dean is correct on the 90 efi motor. I would not use any of it in a turbo conversion. If your motor is dead it may be smart to fugure out what killed it. Fix that problem and build a new or fresh turbo motor. A good place to start would be with a "real" turbo 2 motor. Good luck and you can contact me at sebring@starix.net if needed.
