Default All Mopar show at a Ford Dealership!

Our little local Mopar club (informal) just scored an all Mopar show at a local Ford dealership on Sunday 11-17-02. Turns out the owner of the dealership owns a 1969 Superbee with a 440 6 pack. The local Mustang club found out about it and they are having a huge cow over it. Boo Hoo!!! LOL They called the head of our club and told him to cancel the show or at least take it somewhere else, he told them to cal 1-800- wah wah wah. The owner of the dealership even printed up flyers! Should get about 20-30 Mopars. Score one for the good guys.

The dealership caved in and opened the show up to everybody. The show was for big brother and big sisters and all the proceeds went to the charity. There were about 65 cars there and many Mopars. The nicest one was a 1971 Challenger TA with a 426 Hemi and highly optioned. The ar was perfect, and a vert as well. That car one best of show. The crowd favorite trophy went to a 1972 RoadRunner triple black pro street car with a radical 440 NOS monster. The best numbers matching car went to my friend with a 1969 GTX all original. There was a show favorite catagory that handed out 10 trophys. Three Mopars won out of ten. The Mustang club showed up in force with 12 cars, then the local Corvette club with 8 cars, then the T Bird club with 6 cars. Out of all the trophy's anded out we didn't see any cars that didn't deserve it. Usually when you go to these local shows some goofball who has a nasty looking car walks away with some trophy. Never ceases to amaze me, but this one was different. The judging was very fair. There were cars from 1932 (Dodge pickup) to a 2002 Mustang. Lots of fun.

I was at that show. I had the green 4 door custom 880. We came up from Port Charlotte and brought three cars, a 1967 Red Coronet, a 1968 Orange RoadRunner, and a 1969 Green GTX. I thought the show was great. I especially liked the classic dragster and the Hemi truck. Lots of fun hope you keep having it.
