Daytona has no spark

My buddy just purchased a 84 daytona turbo Z motor will turn over but has no spark, fuel pump or injectors. Put a jumper wire from the battery to the coil everything will work. We think it's something simple, losing interest. Please help. Thank you in advance. Christy

first check and see if the timing belt is broken.

He got the car with no motor, and put a fresh rebuilt motor out of his old car in it.

then check for codes by cycling the key 3 times on-off etc
also check for spark with the key on and with a jumper jump the 2 terminals next to the flat in the body side black pickup connector ast the distributer you should get a spark as well as here the fuel pump run when you do this
