From what I have read, the R/T Dak 360 is no different than the one that came in full size trucks. I haven't read anything on them lately, but a few years ago they were 245 horsepower (I think)--someone correct me if I'm wrong. Just find yourself a Mag 5.9 and stick it in there. Good luck!!!

P.S.--You have one really heavy Dakota; my 4cyl. 2WD only weighs 3400 with me in it! I wouldn't think that a V-8 and a 4 wheel drivetrain could add over a ton; just goes to show what I know...LOL!

thankyou for the reply.the door sticker isnot the actual weight of this pig?i thought it was the actual wt,if it isn't.anyway,i was wondering if the computer is different for a dak with a 5.9 out of a ram?there is a different mopperf computer for this truck when you order it from them.i was also wondering about the trans.case and which transmission would be best to use?who makes a good converter for this tranny(46lh/o.d).i would like this swap to be as straight forward as possible.i need to get this done as quickly as possible as this my only ride for now.i would like to know what to expect and what problems (if any) and component interaction problems to expect.maybe the truck hot line # is who i need to call for all the specifics i'm requesting.thanks to all!
