Question body header q's

I am getting ready to stuff the big boy 440 In my 73 Duster. The car has manual steering and manual front disc brakes. I picked up a set Oh Hooker Super Comps fenderwell headers there the smaller ones think 1 7/8 with 3.5 inch collectors. I would really not like to cut the fenderwells in my car because they are rust free and dont even need painted. Hookers I know these are real good performers too. My other option is the Shumachers Tri Y headers. I heard tire clearance is crap as for the Hooks. Also seems to be alright for a strip car but this is mainly going to be the local terror on the street. So anyone be hear done that.............there opinions will be greatly helpful.

oh yea 70% Tri Y

15% Hooker

15% Dont know!

I did the same swap in my 72 dart. 440 with s/r heads. I tried the hedman and the hooker headers. The hedmans have horrible tire interference on the street. The Hookers aren't too bad on the street. I have used mine for about two years now and no problems. I was the same way with my car. It was in excellent condition, no rust. But without going to get a custom set of headers, no one had under chassis headers to fit the car the had primaries big enough. Good luck
