My 97 2.4L caravan is making a rattling noise at idle.It seems to be coming from inside the muffler but i can`t tell for sure.It only does it when the engine idles low with the a/c on & in drive.I have checked the heat shields & muffler.Every thing looks ok from the outside, nothing loose.Has anyone had any similar problems.Keith or Dean HELP ! Oh forgot to mention that it is louder outside the van than inside.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the reply,i crawled under it again yesterday & it does sound like something loose inside the muffler. It`s not affecting performance though.I wonder if there`s an after market muffler that is a direct replacement, one that i could install myself?
