The AAR cuda shouldn't hav eX-heads in the first place. They used '915' casting J-heads with 2.02/1.60 valves. The major difference in the AAR/TA heads is the relocated pushrod hole, this allows you to completely remove the dogleg of the pushrod hole. This also requires the use of AAR/TA offset intake rocker arms, and if you haven't got adjustables allready also the pushrods. So I think those heads are not a good choice. The 318 with a mild cam doesn't need the 2.02 valve, 1.88" is just fine. I wouldn't pay anything extra for those heads, any 360 head in a mild 318 will perform just the same and propably have hardened seats. If you want to get rid of your money, buy the 360 high swirl heads from MP, or even better the ported 318 high swirls. Just remember that installing a 340/360 head to the 318 will lower your CR to 7.5:1 level without any milling, if you use stock pistons. Milling .060" will take you to about 8.5-9:1, which would be a lot better for power. Just remember to mill the intake faces of the heads too, and check lifter preloads and adjust it with rockershaft shims if necessary.
