Ring/pinion strenght
I´v been told not to run higher gear than 4.30. They are supposed to be a lot weaker, is that true? I have both #89 and #42 housing`s with MW caps.Which one to choose? Should I use street or progear? 499cu, approxemately 700 HP+N2O in a tubechassi E-body Cuda. What size slicks should I run? And what gear´

The only pro gears for the 8 3/4 are 4.88 and fit the 42 case. This is what was available 5 years ago. May have changed since then.

you may want to talk to Oliver at Mopar Shop, Germany or contact someone at Randy's Ring & Pinion.
