Question Tire question

Currently have polyester 275-60-14 rear tires on my 68 GTX. I can't seem to locate this tire on the net. Does anyone know if this tire is still available in poly or radial. I want to keep the 14" aluminum mags I now have so I would rather not change to a 15" rim. BTW..... how would this car handle with radials? I believe the radials became an option in 69.

I've noticed that tire retailers seem to omit oddball sizes from some of thier internet displays.

I had a similair situation at the shop where I priced a tire for a customer. I gave him all brand, model, size, and price info. He decided to see if my price was fair by checking on the net. Then he came back and told me that the brand I priced wasn't available in the size he gave me. I ordered the tires and showed them to him, at which point he bought them.

Call a local tire shop(or two), and they should be able to find out for sure, if the size you want is available.

As for radials, radials are an improvement on virtually any application. I haven't heard of anyone wanting to go back to bias ply, that's for sure.

Your GTX should have come with 15s I think? They would look better.
As for the radials go, you will feel the differance within 100 feet of leaving the tire shop!
It was night and day with mine.
