Default Dakota Speaker Question

The speaker in my right door blew out and sounds like crap. It will not take any volume or bass. This is on a 98 regular cab Dakota. The stock system sounded good enough for me, but I assume I can get an upgraded set of speakers for less the price of a factory one. Does anyone have any suggestions? Do you know what size they are? Thanks, Wayne

Stock speaker size is 6.5" in the front, 5.25" in the rear. The rears will take a 6.5" though. All this is assuming yours are in the doors and rear pillar.

Anything you put in will be better than stock. Go to Walmart even, and pick up a set of Sony or Pioneer components (speaker plus tweeter).

I put in a set of MBQuart Discus series components with powered crossover, and you wouldn't believe the clarity.

Hope this helps

Dan
