I've seen two of these in the past week, they look like a cross between a Buick, a Cadillac Allante, and a J-Bodied Chrysler LeBaron... I asked the driver of one of them at the stoplight what it was, and he said a Maserati.

Does anybody know anything about these cars?

Sam

The correct name is Chrysler T/C by Maserati.
Maserati body with Chrysler powertrain and interior. Seem to remember they had a 200hp
2.2L DOHC that was unique to this car.

I believe these cars came with the 2.2 turbo and the 3.0 mitsu. The Dohc was a Daytona only engine, was it not?

I thought about the spirit R/T, but wasn't sure. The only reason I'm sure of the other two combos is that we have two of these odd balls that come in the shop from time to time.

Better yet I just found my 89 new model highlights book. Lists the standard engine as code EDD 2.2DOHC turbo 200hp.(manual trans) Chrysler block but built by Maserati(maserati designed cyl head too, pretty sure)optional engine EDR 2.2 turbo2 174hp.(Auto) Said the 3.0L would be a running change on the automatic equipped cars.
Knew saving that book would come in handy one day!
