Does anybody know of companies that make Engine Rebuild Kits for the 2.0L SOHC Neon engine? I am looking to rebuild my engine and found that the price would be too high if I bought each gasket and piston ring separate. Any ideas?

Thanks
Dan S

The first thing I would do is price out a new short block then weigh the costs as opposed to a rebuild. Hmmm maybe price out a 2.4 litre short block!

Yeah I would do the 2.4L. A friend of mine had a stratus 2.4 put in his. It hauls. Guessing mid 14's. Not bad with a completely stock 2.4L. However he had to drop his a/c and p/s. Motor mounts need slight reworking. IT cost him $4500 including a quaife differential the cost of the motor and the labor to put it in. Also a 2.4L has a diff firing order. What more details. Get a hold of www.neonperformance.com known as Captain Nemos. He is slow but is real good work.
