Default ID head casting #

I just bought a set of heads for my 413 wedge. heads have 2.14 int. and 1.810 exh. valves, bronze guide liners and have had some port work. question is what did they come off of and what is this going to do to my comp. ratio. will I need to change camshaft to make up on what I think will be a comp drop ?? cam is a 224/238 duration with .465/.488 lift.
Thanks for the help
Jim D.

can you provide us with the casting numbers (or at least the last 3 digits)? There are many heads that could fit that engine, without the casting numbers, there's not much we can tell you.

Head #

Hopefully you have read the #'s wrong, look again if it's not 2406518.
If it is it's 1964 maxwedge stage III.
They had 2.08/1.88 valves original and closed chamber.

Cross your fingers and look again.

outlaw, another way you can tell if you have max wedge heads,is that the heads dont have any heat cross over passages ,and the ports are huge. The 62 413 max wedge#2402286;the63 426max is2463209;and the 64 426 is 2406518.What a Christmas surprize if they turn out to be max heads!

Your heads will flow great if are in fact max's. You said somthing about lowe compression. With that cam and those heads and low compression. That thing will rev like a 351 Mod Ferd LAZZZZZZZZZZZZY.......... And the bigger cam you go longer duration will blead even more clynder pressure off. Which will make things worse.........Heck just boxem up and ship those worthless things to me. Ha Ha!

Good Luck

I am afraid that the are not the max heads . I called the shop where the heads are and they re-read the casting # and came up with the same as I did. It really doesn't matter so much as I just wanted to have the ablity to blow the doors off of some of the OTHER cars. It is going down into my 49 Dodge 1/2 ton with a T/F and 3.56 posi. Thanks for all of the replies.

Default casting # resolved

A man with better eyes has checked my heads and the # is 2406518-8 . as in my prior post the heads are ported with bronze liners,2.140/1.810 stainless valves. my 413 is .060 over with 10:1 flat tops and cam is 224/238 dur. with 0.465/0.488 lift . will these heads work good with the cam?? any tips on making things better is appreciated
Thanks
Jim D.

Try using the calc at KB, to determine the static compression ratio.
