rolleyes Is fiberglass worth it?

I read about a caddy in hot rod that ran 11s and handle great for such a big car. It had a stock caddy motor with just nitro. The owner said he lightened it by making fiberglass parts. I've seen how to's in magizines but and am wondering if I should do it to my heavy 73 charger. It still needs paint so that not an issue but i'm wondering how hard it realy is to make new fenders and hoods and stuff. I'm kinda knew to this stuff so anything will help

I think you can buy fiberglass fenders and hood for your car so you may not even have to make them. The Chargers also have really heavy bumpers, but Fiberglass bumpers may not be street leagle?

If your building a race car it is worth doing, on a street car the fiberglass parts may give you some problems depending on the quality of the parts (cracking, less durable, possable electrical grounding problems, etc.)

In looking for parts for my Barracuda, I came across a site that has 73 charger fiberglass parts. The links are below.

Charger directly:

Whole Site:

They seem to have lots of stuff, may be expensive on average, I don't know.
