Default What do the W2 Econo heads flow like

I've been working on these W2 ( PN 5249769 ) heads for awhile, very impressive heads with some porting, haven't had a chance to look at the Econo version yet & wondered how they compare to the other W2 heads, mainly interested in the long valve Econo head,

thanks

The only diff. in the econo head is that the pedalsils are allready on the head where the race version does not have pedastils.
The long valve version is so you can use a larger lift cam.
Think here, it'll make sense in a sec.
Bigger lift can cause coil bind, taller valves have less of a chance to bind up with large lifts. Valves come longer on the long valve head for taller springs.
Flow in the as cast versions should be the same. More capable in the higher lift areas due to being able to take more lift.

Thanks guys, 326 cfm ...Yikes !, sounds good enough to me, fairly much what I thought, had a look at the Econo in pictures & couldn't see any difference with the runners, only the rocker stands.

I'd go straight for the long valve version, these heads flow well into the .700 lift area quite comfortably

I've seen your port jobs. You should see 300 cfm when you go full tilt without a problem. Your work is nice.

Thanks, I've just finished some more porting on the race W2's, will get them flowed this Tuesday I hope, last session was 292 cfm, only doing small changes then onto flow bench instead of a big leap in grinding, trying to get the maximum results without removing too much metal, help the velocity stay up as best I can because the car will be used on the street also..
