A friend of a friend had a cooler nozzle plug on him and scored a piston on his 24 valve engine recently. He tows with it so it is no surprise that it did it with a cooler nozzle plugged.

What kind of oil filter do you have on?DO NOT A RUN FRAM OIL FILTER ON CUMMINS ENGINES.Mopar oil filters are the only one if you like your truck.Seen lots of pistons fail due to pluged cooler toobs, and they all had fram oil filters too.Mopar even sent bulitin on subject.Fram bought lotts of new engines.Diesel fuel erodes frams media and it gets lodged in cooler tubes.
