SB head gurus, got a ? 4 ya
Hi, I was wondering if anybody has seen the area in the chambers directly surrounding the spark plug hole modified? My 915 heads appear to have been built up and smoothed with some sort of epoxy like substance, Is this a common practice, Or is it just a repair practice? any help appreciated. Thanks!

I'm no small Chrysler head guru, or any kind of guru, but I don't like the sounds of epoxy in the combustion chambers. I have seen liquid titanium used to repair cracks in the valley of an engine, but even then it was used on top of a weld. I wouldn't think that there is any kind of epoxy that could stand up to combustion chamber temperatures and pressures, but I could be wrong. Maybe you could post a pic of this epoxy? Is it in all of the chambers? My recommendation (sight unseen) would be to take them to a very good machine shop and have them x-rayed (if you care that much about them) just to be on the safe side.
