Default stealing

Did anybody else notice that GM has another concept that resembles a DC concept from a couple of years back? The Chevy SS sedan supposedly designed by PT Cruiser Designer Nesbitt looks alot like the Charger RT concept, four doors and all. They just changed the front and rear treatments.

Remember...job positions in Detroit, just like in pro sports are fluid. Designers and engineers move around all the time. Sort of like scouting for newer and more impressive talent. Thant has been going on in the automotive industry for just about forever.

"Sides, how can you tell all these egg shaped cars apart? There hasn't been a new, fresh idea worth a damn in years, especially from DC.

Dave.

I'll second that... chrysler needs a nice full size car. I don't like their new car fleet @ all... trucks aren't too bad (go hemi!), though they are quickly fugly-ing the best looking truck on the market. They need a mid size 2 door R/T car with a modified hemi under the hood. Screw the viper, too expensive.. I want a real DC muscle car.

Default yeah, but . . .

This isn't the first time that GM stole a concept, the Dodge Sidewinder concept truck from a couple of years back looks alot like the SSR truck that GM is rushing into production now only with a different front and rear treatment.

Default p.s.

I too want a Dodge two door performance car that is reasonably priced, V8, rwd, and can't believe DC hasn't rushed one into the market to pickup the slack from the absence of the GM F-bodies.

They should bring back the charger name with an HO 318, 2 doors, an 8 1/4 diff, and some attitude. Instead of S/C for a upgrade like the stang, just use a larger displacement engine to keep costs down. Since the 360 is on the way out for trucks, why waste all of the tooling for them... use 'em in a pony type car... 5.9l 380 horse dodge charger... If I could I'd buy one!

IMHO the Chevy SS concept ripped off Ferrari more than anyone else.
