LOL

just about anything will swap out, the 440 is about 1/2 an inch taller than a 383 so the distributor is too long and the intake will be too wide, but the cylinder heads, exhaust manifolds, water pump, oil pan and all that "bolt on stuff" outside should switch over no problem....obviously non of internals will switch, pistons, rods, crank etc...but 383 (B) and 440 (RB) cams are the same

do watch out with the water pump housing...
make sure that both housings take the water port on the same side. If the water comes in from the passenger side and you get a water pump housing cast for a drivers side then your timing marks will be covered, (being on the wrong side, about 90* off). if you bolt it on there and try to set the timing that does make a big problem.

Thumbs up

Good advice from Kudah...be sure that the water pump housing outlet is on the same side as the outlet on your radiator. The pan, pickup, heads, rockers, and pumps are the same. Pushrods, pistons, intake, distributor, and connecting rods are not. A 440 crank can be cut to fit a 383 and make a nice strocker with 440 rods I think (works on 400's). And there are kits available to use RB distributors if you need to.
