Default finally doing it

ok, I have asked before, but now I am ready to swap my projection setup for a carb- I want to lay out for exactly what I have and get a recommendation from you guys.

68 charger
440-
-mp cam 4452993: .474 I / .474 E, advertised duration 280
intake/280 exhaust, 110 lobe sep
-1.6 roller rockers
-srp flatops 10:1 comp
-performer rpm intake
-hedman 1 3/4" primaries, full 2.5" dual exh w/two chamber
flomasters & crossover pipe
-346 (71) heads w/ 2.14,1.74 valves installed. just some
bowl blending and 3 angle valve job, no real work done
-900 cfm projection

727-

-2800 stahl, shift kit
-3.55 suregrip

I go to the track a couple of times a year, but car is mostly street. I already purchased a holley blue pump and reg, and now just need a carb. admittedly, I am not very adept at tuning a carb, but I can read and try. but I was thinking of an edelbrock eps 800 or a holley 770 street avenger due to thier stated ease of tuning. Keeping in mind my pretty mild motor, if I go with a " better" carb (dp,demon,etc...), will I really see a big difference when compared to the edelbrock or street avenger? I lean towards the edelbrock because of the fine adjustments possible with the rods/springs (easy, too) and the fact that you can change jets pretty easily too. before I switched to the projection, I was running an eps 750, and it was pretty good out of the box, but there was always a hesitation when transitioning from steady cruise rpms to WOT, never could tune that out. but then, I was not a member of this board and really had noone to strap on as my carb tuning tampon. It seems like I want to have my cake and eat it too (go fast and not put the time in), but I do not have a lot time on my hands these days. my whole reason for wanting to switch back to a carb was that the car was faster with the 750 (dropped to 13.4 from 13.094)

any opinions would be appreciated, kevin

Sounds good. I am going to stay awat from Holley awhile. Tired of there foolish behavier. I belive Im going to try Demon Sizzlers carbs with his Street/strip carbs. The Carter and edel carbs look mgood to Just a little cheaper with the Thermo q's.

Give Don a call, over a Too Much Racing. I'm sure that he can set you up with a great Demon carb, for a fair price.
