89 Voyager hop up tips?

I may be getting an 89 Voyager, 2.5l 4 cylinder, tbi injected, and was wondering what can perk this little motor up. My idea was to upgrade the intake and exhaust, i.e. open air cleaner and a good flowing exhaust. My problem is that there doesn't seem to be much out there for this motor. It runs excellent, burns no oil, runs well but has no power going up hills or passing. I don't want to go into the motor to get power, if i have to do this I can live with the lack of grunt. Any Ideas folks? cruzerjd

You could do all that but it would still be a turd. I would atleast swap in a turbo motor is you wanted to get anything exciting. Paul Smith's from the Chicago area Has run 12.5's!

Yeah thats what I thought. The only problem with the urbo is that on the hills I would be constantly on boost. I can live with the lack of go. Thanks for your thoughts, cruzerjd
