I don't know If I would go with a supercharger. Depending upone the engine you have in your jeep now you might be able to tweek it enough to compete with your friend. but if thats what you want I would check out vortec.

Supercharging is definitly a good idea. Depending on the boost, 80 HP and upwards is constantly at your right foot. It does'nt draw too much power from your motor since it is belt driven, but hey, you tweak it right and you'll be good to go. I like the centrifugal setup instead of a turbo or a 6-71 blower. You don't have to worry about lag or cut a big friggin hole through the hood. Now on a Pro-Street car, the blower looks just plain mean as hell. I'll be doing the Pro-Touring look so I wanna keep everything underneath except for a Shaker hood.
If you're gonna keep your Jeep forever, go ahead and fork over the 3 grand, otherwise get a nice little shot of 150 nitrous for 300 bucks. Have fun!! J-440 |
