Well, the heater core finaly died today after 120K on the odo. I have the heater box out of the car and I need to know where I can buy the foam stripping that seals the heater box to the cowl opening for the air intake.
The foam is just falling apart so I realy need to replace it before I put it back together. Any ideas? Thanks, 94Duster |

the earlier P Bodies didn't have any of the white foam gaskets. The one you want you could use some foam one sided tape or a sealer for that area.

This wasn't the white sealer that is between the 2 halves of the box, it was the grey one that seals the air box to the sheet metal under the cowl for the outside air intake. I checked with the dealer and they had the foam gasket that I needed for $8.67. I had to wait 2 days to get it though. What a pain in the ass that job was. I just hope I don't have to do it on my wifes 93 Duster to soon, but with 115k on it I probably will.
Thanks |
