I'm going to convert my power steering to manual in a month or two. You can have mine, just pay the shipping. Might cost a bit much, I'm in FL, 32837.

One other thing you can do. After you remove the pot coupling, whack the end of the column so that you break the bottom shaft loose in it's mounting and just slide it back in the column a couple inches. I'm pretty sure that works on all columns from '67 on up. Then all you will need is the P/S pot coupler.

When you say wack the end of the shaft, do you mean on the end of the shaft and wack it towards the wheel ?

Yep, that's it. The bottom end of the shaft should be held in place by some nylon pins. When you break them, the shaft will slide in and out.

Darrin, I have a manual steering parts car I am going to use but I could use the column and box out of your car, I have two '68 Valiants, that will let me change both to manual steering. If you want to swap out, put your E-mail adress in your profile so I can contact you.
