where do the parts come from????
I am starting a thread to help all of us in determining the country of manufacture for the speed parts we buy. it would be good to know up front where this stuff comes from up front whether you decide to buy american or not. Lets avoid the whole debate on whether to buy american or not, it has been done already, lets just get a good list going so everyone can use it to decide for themselves. obviousely we cannot list every single part, but maybe we can educate each other on the most common high dollar stuff we are interested in like pistons, cranks, rods, cams, lifters, etc.... so please include brand name, type of product, and KNOWN country of origin. While it is good to know what is made overseas, it is even better to know what is made in the usa, so do not forget those. Ed says he will make it a sticky if we get a list going.
as per ed, I am going to start two more threads. one will be "made in the usa" the other will be "made overseas" if you know the origin of the parts, plug them into the appropriate thread, thanks.Kevin |
