Question New to blowers...how's BDS?

Hi all,
Is BDS a good manufacturer of blowers?

I have a 72 Roadrunner with a 413 in it. At some point in the near future I was planning on adding a blower. I saw a lot of people here mention BDS so I got their catalog. Pricing seems decent.

So what do you think? BDS a yay or a nay (or is there someone better in your opinion?)?

I'm just checking vendor options right now.

Thanks a lot!

Default BDS rocks

I run a 6:71 BDS blower on my 383 and it has given me no problem when you buy from them the only thing I had to have made was my lower drive belt spacer due too my application but the rest was there and fit great.

The only other company worth mentioning.
http://www.dyersblowers.com/index.html
Dick Landy also knows about these things and has kits useing Holleys Pro charger. I think it's a B&M based S-charger.
B&M makes good stuff, just not for most MoPars.
You'll need to call Dick direct. No known web site for him.

I got a WICKED deal on a complete 4-71(intake to scoop) blower setup for my 392. I called ALL the Blower people for info/parts, including BDS, and out of ALL of them BDS turned me right off. First thing they said was that I'd need 33% over drive for 5-7 lbs of boost. Then they told me that with a 4-71 I'd be producing so much heat, that I'd get zero boost and that I HAD to have one of their 6-71 blowers. With 8:1 CR, 5-7 lbs boost, street only, that's 10% overdrive and the little 4-71 on my 406 Hemi (392 +.060) will be MORE than enough. I really couldn't beleive that a Company like BDS would pull something like that...but they did, and apparently it's not uncommon for them (according to a few of the other shops). I'm sticking with Dyers, Littlefield, and Hamton...FWIW.
