Crane hyd / roller cam manners
Hi, does anyone run a crane hyd/roller? In particular I was interested in the #69621 222/230 at .050" .509"/ .528" lift. I was interested in the idle quality and the amount of manifold vacuam.
At present I am running the cam below it 214/222 at .050".488"/ .509" lift, I'd like to try the first cam but not if it idles like a pig, I want it to retain some manners Thanks |

I am running that same cam in my built 440 w/edelbrock heads truck will idle all day @ 850 rpm and no trouble w/power brakes for kicks I use an idle compensator and can still use my a/c. The cam makes alot of power right where you need it too. hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to think no-one else was running any of this roller stuff. Do you have any idea how much manifold vacuam you have at idle?
I am running a 11:1 360 with ED heads etc. so it will probably be a little lumpier at idle than your RB. Thanks again for the reply |
