Post Moly ring question

I'm rebuilding a 360, and I have a question about using moly rings. This motor was rebuilt a short time ago, with about 2000 miles since, and moly rings were used. The crosshatch pattern is still very good with only a couple thin smooth vertical marks on the cyl. walls. There are no scratches at all. My question is, would it be ok to just rering it with new moly rings, or should I rehone it?? I am using new pistons as well. Thanks

Dont bother honing the block or buying new rings. If there the same width and size from your old pistons and new pistons reuse them. Try keeping the rings in the same spot and stagger them the same during assembly. The rings will seat just fine. The moly rings will take longer to seat than cast rings also. You will not help the process by honing it or installing new rings, you willonly be thinning the block out.

I have a old Mopar magazine which testifys honing at all during reusing the same parts with new rings.
