Restricting Oil To Heads
I will be installing my new Harland Sharp rockers on my 440 and was wondering about restricting the oil to the heads. The thinking is that the new new rockers (with full bearings on the shaft) require a lot less oil than the normal shaft rockers. If so, then any idea as to what size restricter to install?

I'm with Rumble on this one, especially if it's street driven. But why not call Harland Sharp tech and get their input, then let the rest of us know???..............djs

FYI- I did e-mail Harland Sharp and got a quick reply from Jeffrey there. They do reccomend restricting the oil to the heads, .09 on a street engine and .06 on a race only engine.
Restricting oil flow to the heads, if there is excessive flow, will force more oil to the bottom end where it is better used. |

I run them on a 365 in a dirt car and the oil is not restricted and I have never had a problem with them. All of mopars books and techs state in bold print not to retrict oil to the heads. Overheating vlave springs is always a consern and will flat kill some hp when they start going out.
