Question Brake parts

Alright, I have the opportunity to buy spindles to convert my '69 Charger to disc brakes. I know about the article for doing this on the Mopar Action website, I also saw an article on moparts about the swap. My question is, the spindles came off of a '74 Charger with single piston calipers, and the moparts article says this is ok, the Mopar Action article says not to use these, which is correct? I am leaning towards the Mopar Action article but I didn't want to miss out on a good opportunity. The two articles are here

Moparts:

Mopar Action:

Thanks for the quick response.

Matt

Do not use 73 or 74 charger brake parts for your aplication .Will change geometry and hit hose on lower controll arm.

Thanks for your reply, I had a feeling that was the case. Well it looks like I will pass on those spindles then. Thanks again.

There are valid arguments on both sides of this issue. Some claim that the taller spindle actually corrects a fault in the original B body geometry.
I'm at the point where I wouldn't be worried about the change in geometry.

LOL Thanks

Oh good, now I have conflicting advice on the board even I will wait for a few more opinions then before I make a decision. Thanks John for bringing that point up, I had not heard that.

Adhere to the Mopar Action article, and go with the later spindles.

I had a customer do the swap with the taller spindles after I told him not to.

Subsequently, he can't get his camber specs even close to what they should be.

I have heard of the tall ones working too, but I wouldn't try it.
